Before downloading the recorder, it’s best to provision your Moodle Course(s).  This process will create a folder for the recorder to store content for each course and will add a block in Moodle containing a link to download the desktop recorder.  If you plan on asking your students to download the recorder they will need to log in to the emu.hosted.panopto.com site to download it.

See Provisioning a Course to provision the course and add the Panopto Block.

Once the Panopto block has been added to your Moodle Course scroll down to the block and click the link to download the recorder.

Download the installation file (or .pkg file if using a MAC) and then run the installation.

The Mac and PC versions of the install differ slightly but the process is similar.

Students will not have access to download the recorder from the Panopto Block in Moodle and will be required to log in to the Panopto site at emu.hosted.panopto.com.

Click the Sign in button on the right side of the page.

Choose Sign in using EMU Moodle as the option and enter your royals username / password.
