This course focuses on identification and understanding of the flora, fauna, and geology of the Shenandoah Valley. Students investigate general principles of natural history while simultaneously developing a sense of "place" in the local region. Laboratories rely heavily on field trips. Prerequisite: an annual safety training outside of class and BIOL 173 or permission of instructor. (Spring 2022Fall 2021)
