The course provides an introduction to social research methods and prepares students to analyze, interpret, and critique quantitative social science research. Over the course of the semester students design and develop a research proposal. At various times during the semester the class will meet in a computer laboratory in order to access research tools and statistical software. Enrollment priority given to majors in the department. Prerequisite: STAT 120 and one of the following: SOC 101, Soc SOC 201, POL 111, POL 113, PXD 151, GS 101.
