The activity of cave exploration will provide for knowledge acquisition, skill development, fitness improvement, and the enjoyment of participation. Students will be exposed to caving as a personal recreational pursuit, particularly indigenous to Virginia's Shenandoah Valley and nearby West Virginia. A skill pre-assessment is required.
