Provost's Council

Purpose

The Provost’s Council is responsible for planning, oversight, and assessment of the entire student experience at EMU, focusing primarily on academic and co-curricular activities to ensure sustainable student success. It provides direction for academic and student life vision, strategy, and policy formation, as well as coordinating these efforts across the divisions and programs of the university.

Decisions

Council administrators represent the various divisions and programs. Selected issues are processed with schools, programs and faculties. Selected items are approved by the faculty and the president's cabinet.

Membership

provost, academic deans, dean of students, assistant provost, executive director at Lancaster, director of institutional effectiveness and accreditation manager, vice president for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, (vp for enrollment and strategic growth, vp for finance and president by invitation)
