Clery Campus Security
The “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act” requires colleges and universities to report annually certain information regarding their campus security policies and campus crime statistics. Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) prepares this report to inform the campus community, visitors, and the general public of the university’s policies and procedures for campus safety and security, and to comply with the Act.
EMU strives to maintain a safe campus environment in which to live, learn, and work. Though emergencies and incidents of serious crime are relatively few at EMU, it is crucial that all members of the campus community recognize reportable incidents and understand the procedures for reporting such incidents to appropriate persons. EMU’s security programs include awareness seminars for all students, through training of residential-life staff, and campus security personnel.
