All users can access data from off-campus via the EMU WebVPN service. Mac OS X 10.7 users must first install Java.

  1. Browse to https://vpn.emu.edu.  Click "yes" if prompted to run the application. There may be a delay while Java loads and the Cisco secure desktop program validates your system.
  2. Log in with your Royal username and password.
  3. Click "Browse Network" in the left column if you cannot see the list of available network drives.
  4. Select your drive.
    • Home (P:)
    • Department (G:) - will like all departmental drives you have access to
    • Shared FacStaff (Z:)
    • Classdata (V:)
  5. Enter your Royal username and password.

At this point you can navigate through the drive and find the files you want to edit. Use the arrows at the top of the directory listing to view any additional pages. Use the green up arrow to go up a folder level.
Click on a file to save it locally. After making changes you must upload the file or your changes will not be reflected in the network copy. To upload a file, click the green arrow pointing to the right. Browse to where you have saved your file locally and click open. Click "ok" to upload the file.
