Computer and internet access

University guests who would like internet access will need to be sponsored by an EMU employee. This can be done through the guest web application. This account information will be valid for  one week and may be used only by the guest to whom it was issued. It may not be shared.

Community guests should request a guest login from the Library Reference Desk.

Faculty & Staff: Use the guest web application to generate an account for your guest on the spot. This functions from on-campus only.

Students can request logins for their guests from the student life department.

If you are involved with a program or event that brings a large number of guests on campus, contact the Helpdesk for alternate arrangements.

Wireless Configuration

To connect to the guest wireless network follow the directions at the link below. 

Connecting to the EMU-Guest wireless network.

When connecting to the network on campus, you will be asked to install an application called SafeConnect. This will check to make sure your system has an active and up to date anti-virus client and has installed any current operating system updates.

Projection Systems

Make sure to bring any needed video adapters for your laptop if you are planning to connect to a projection station on campus. We will provide a VGA cable connection but some laptops (most Macs) need to have a special adapter to connect in this way.
