Your Royal password will expire after one year and you will be required to change it. In the weeks prior to its expiration you will receive an email from do-not-reply@emu.edu. It will contain the following text:

To change your Royal password go to the Change Password page. If you have an EMU provided Windows laptop, press Ctrl-Alt-Del, and click Change Password. Once you have changed your password, restart the computer.

If you change your Royal password while you have Outlook open you will need to close it before sending new mail. Upon opening Outlook after changing your Royal password you will be notified that the password is incorrect. Select the "Retry" button and enter your new password in the field provided.

After following these steps you will be able to send mail and login to Outlook and gmail as you had done before changing your password.
