FortiClient VPN is available through the Apple store. Find and install it as you would any other app.

To configure the client:

  1. Locate and run the FortiClient VPN on your device.
  2. Upon opening you will need to accept terms and conditions twice.
  3. A window will pop up saying "ForticlientVPN Would Like to Add VPN Configurations".  Select "Allow".
  4. You should see a screen with "VPN" at the top.  Select "Connections" and then "Add Configuration...".
    1. Enter a Name for your VPN connection (for example: EMU VPN)
    2. Enter the host address: http://vpn-new.emu.edu.
    3. Select Hide invalid certificate warning.
  5. Save your configured connection by clicking on "Save" at the top right corner of the screen.
  6. Click "Done" at the top right corner of the screen and then "<VPN" at the top left corner of the screen.

Now that the FortiClient VPN app is configured you can use the toggle beside "VPN" on the main screen to turn the VPN off and on.   When connecting you will be prompted to enter you EMU username and password.  You can verify you are connected to the VPN after you have entered your EMU credentials by looking at the status in the app (should show Connected) or by going to Settings ->VPN
