Many EMU graduates serve in nonprofit management roles. This minor provides a basic toolkit for preparing to serve and lead in non-profit organizations.  

The nonprofit management minor consists of the following courses for a total of 18-19 SH:

  • ACTG 221 Financial Accounting - 3
  • BUAD 221 Principles of Management - 3
  • CIS 211 Spreadsheet and Data Management - 1

Choose one of the following courses:

  • PXD 151 Exploring Conflict and Peace - 3
  • PXD 225 Theories of Social Change - 3
  • PXD 365 Social and Political Economy - 3
  • PXD 375 Globalization and Justice - 3

Choose one of the following courses:

  • BUAD 465 Project Management and Grant Writing - 3
  • BUAD 471 Topics: Nonprofit Management - 3
  • *PXD 451 Program Evaluation - 3

Choose two of the following courses (5-6 SH):

  • *BUAD 321 Human Resource Management - 3
  • BUAD 331 Organizational Behavior - 3
