Your Royal password will expire after one year and you will be required to change it. In the weeks prior to its expiration you will receive warnings from accountnotifications@emu.edu, containing the following text:

On (future date) the Royal password for (your account) will expire. This is (number of days) from today.


If you do not change your password before this date, you will be unable to access electronic services such as email and Moodle.


To change your ROYAL password: Windows

- On-campus EMU owned computer: login to the computer and press ctrl alt del, choose Change a Password

- Off-campus EMU owned computer: please call the EMU Helpdesk at 540-432-4357.

- Personal computer: go to my.emu.edu and select Change Royal Password from the left column.

- EMU owned computer: please call the EMU Helpdesk at 540-432-4357.

- Personal computer: go to my.emu.edu and select Change Royal Password from the left column.


This is a valid email from EMU.
