A mathematically intensive study of basic QM as related to atomic and molecular structures. Topics include the Schroedinger equation, the uncertainty principle, bound and scattering states, the hydrogen atom, and spectroscopy. Prerequisite: MATH 195 or instructor permission. (PHYS 406)
