Power Management Standard
Power Management Standard
The Power Management Standard defines the requirement for power management settings that regulate when Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) owned computers and any attached monitors go to "sleep".
Purpose
When a computer or monitor "sleeps", it enters a low power state, using only enough energy to quickly resume normal operations. EMU's power management settings have been developed in cooperation with the Office of Sustainability and work toward meeting the goals in the Climate Action Plan.
This standard applies to all EMU owned computers and monitors that are running Microsoft Windows.
Power Settings
Monitor sleeps - after 25 minutes
Computer sleeps - after 94 minutes
