Guest Wi-Fi - Android

Guests to campus that wish to connect their Android device to the Wi-Fi can follow the steps below to get connected to the EMU-Guest network.

NOTE: Due to manufacturer specific customizations and changes between versions or Android OS these instructions may vary.

Step-by-step guide

  1. To connect to the guest Wi-Fi on your Android device swipe down from the top of your screen and click on "Settings".  Next find Wifi or Wireless and select it.  A list of wireless networks should be shown which include the EMU-Guest network.   Select the EMU-Guest network by tap on the name.

  2. Once connected and will be taken to a landing page with two options, Students and Employee Access and Open Guest Access.  Select Open Guest Access.

  3. On the next screen you will be prompted to log in or create an account.  If you need to create an account click on the "create an account" link at the top of the page.  You will then see a form you need to fill out a short form and click "Register".

  4. After registering you will see your username and password displayed on the screen with an expiration date for access.  You will also receive a text message with the same information.  If you scroll down you will see that your username and password have been prefilled and all you need to do is click on "Sign In".  You will then be connected to Wi-Fi and will see the EMU home page load.
