Sponsoring Speakers and Demonstrations

EMU reserves the right to regulate the on-campus appearance of extra-curricular lecturers and guest speakers. Students are expected to reference a proposed invitation with their organization’s faculty or staff advisor.

All students have a right to lawful and peaceful demonstrations provided they do not disrupt class work or other university business or create substantial disorder or invasion of the rights of others. Questions about this policy may be addressed (in advance of a planned demonstration) to the Dean of Students, Shannnon Dycus (shannon.dycus@emu.edu).
