Safety Committee

Purpose

The purpose of the EMU Safety Committee is to develop and promote a safe and secure environment for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors to our campuses through education, communication, and practice of safe work practices.

Membership

Coordinator of Campus Safety and Security, Vice President for Finance, Director of Residence Life, Science Center Chemical Hygiene officer, Director Facilities Management, Director of Human Resources. Additional members may be added to represent students, athletics and student activities (recreational sports).

Reporting

Communication flows to the University from the chair via written minutes that are copied to Vice President of Finance and by periodic e-mail and paper communications. An annual report will be completed and submitted to the Executive Leadership team in June.

Meetings

Meetings will be held in September, December, March, May.
