Faith and Spiritual Life Council

Purpose

This advisory council provides visioning, feedback and accountability for all aspects of the Office of Faith and Spiritual Life; assists with planning and leading aspects of campus worship services; suggests resources and themes useful in planning faith and spiritual formation initiatives and mentoring; offers prayer and related support for the university chaplain, student chaplains and other faith and spiritual life student leaders; and considers religious core and diversity concerns and needs of the EMU community.

Membership

university chaplain, dean of students (ex officio), seminary campus pastor, faith and spiritual life assistant, three or four appointed faculty and staff, graduate student, all student chaplains, one SGA student representative, area pastor or church lay leader

Appointed faculty or staff serve three-year terms
