NCAA Faculty Athletic Representative

Membership

Two (full time) faculty members appointed to serve a three-year term

Function

The Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) at Eastern Mennonite University is a full-time faculty member who serves as a vital bridge between the university's athletics and academic departments. This role is crucial in ensuring the integration of the university's athletics program with its academic mission. The FAR upholds academic integrity, and prioritizes the welfare of student-athletes, all while fostering a seamless connection between student-athletes' academic and athletic endeavors. Reporting to the Provost, this position requires a strong presence within the university community and a commitment to the values of Division III athletics.

SGA Representatives

One member appointed from the teaching faculty and one member from the administration. Vice President for Student Life serves as Advisor and ex-officio member.

Function

These persons represent the faculty and administration in the SGA meetings.

Washington Community Scholars Center (WCSC) Faculty Representative

Membership

One faculty member appointed to serve a three-year term

Function

This person serves on the WCSC Advisory Board that provides support and counsel to the WCSC staff on program, student recruitment, internships and student life.
